Terms of use
Last updated 13 October 2026
These terms apply to AI Meeting Assistant ("we", "us"), a Chrome extension that takes notes in Google Meet calls: it builds a transcript from Meet's captions and, with the help of AI, tells you what was said in the last few minutes and sums up a finished meeting into decisions, action items and open questions. These terms call those AI answers your notes. By using AI Meeting Assistant you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. How we handle information is described in our Privacy policy.
The short version
- Tell the people in your call that notes are being taken, and ask for their consent where the law requires it.
- Notes are written by AI and can contain mistakes — check anything important against the conversation itself.
- Daily limits are free, have no money value and may change.
- AI Meeting Assistant is provided as it is, and it may change.
Using AI Meeting Assistant
You must be at least 13 years old to use AI Meeting Assistant. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use it only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms together with you. Please do not misuse the service: do not try to get around daily limits, do not overload or disrupt the service, do not access it other than through the ways we provide, and do not use it to take notes in secret or in any other way that is unlawful or harmful.
Taking notes in a call
A transcript holds what everyone in the call says, and in many countries, states and organisations the law or the rules require that people are told when a conversation is transcribed, and sometimes that all of them agree. You decide whether notes are taken in a call, so you are responsible for telling the other participants and for getting their consent where it is required. The extension can post a notice in the Meet chat for you; posting it does not by itself mean that everyone has agreed. Do not take notes in a call where it is not allowed, or where participants have asked you not to.
Your content
You keep all rights to your transcripts and notes. When you ask for notes, you confirm that you have the right to have the transcript processed by us and by AI service providers to write them. Do not ask for notes on a meeting you are not comfortable sharing with AI services. We use what you send to provide and improve AI Meeting Assistant, as our Privacy policy describes.
What is written for you
The transcript is built from Google Meet's captions, which can mishear words or names. Your notes are written automatically by AI from that transcript, and they can be incomplete or inaccurate, give a point to the wrong person or miss what mattered. They are not an official record of a meeting and not a substitute for professional advice. You are responsible for how you use them. As far as we are concerned, you may use them for any lawful purpose, subject to the rights of the people whose words they were written from.
Daily limits
- Notes are free within a daily limit for each browser. The extension shows how many are left today.
- The limits have no monetary value. They cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for money, and what is left unused does not carry over to the next day.
- A request that fails does not count against the limit.
- We may change the limits and how they work at any time.
Google Meet
AI Meeting Assistant is an independent product. It is not made, endorsed or supported by Google, and Google Meet and Chrome are Google's trademarks. The extension works with Google Meet as Meet is today; when Meet changes, some of what the extension does may stop working until we update it.
Your meetings on your device
Your transcripts and notes are stored in your browser, and the last 20 meetings are kept. We cannot restore a meeting once it is removed — for example, when a newer meeting takes its place, when you remove the extension or when you clear your browser's data. To keep a meeting, copy its notes or save them as a file.
Changes and availability
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of AI Meeting Assistant at any time, including its features and limits. We work to keep the service available, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
No warranty
AI Meeting Assistant is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, opportunities or profits, arising from your use of AI Meeting Assistant, including from notes that are wrong or incomplete and from notes taken without the consent the law required. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the laws of the country where you live.
Ending your use
You can stop using AI Meeting Assistant at any time by removing the extension. We may restrict access to the service for anyone who misuses it.
Open-source components
AI Meeting Assistant includes open-source components; their licences ship with the extension and are reproduced in the third-party notices.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using AI Meeting Assistant after a change, the updated terms apply.
